Aneesh Chopra is the President of CareJourney, an open data membership service building a trusted, transparent rating system for physicians, networks, facilities and markets on the move to value. He served as the first U.S. Chief Technology Officer under President Obama (’09-’12) and in 2014, authored, “Innovative State: How New Technologies can Transform Government.” He serves on the Board of the Health Care Cost Institute, the New Jersey Innovation Institute, and earned his MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and BA from The Johns Hopkins University. CareJourney uses population claims data to address use cases in network design and management, care model management, patient risk segmentation, spend and utilization trends, network integrity, lowvalue care, and provider, practice and facility (acute and post-acute) performance.

SISTER NORMA PIMENTEL

Executive Director, CCRGV

Sister Norma Pimentel, the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, oversees a range of ministries and services in the Rio Grande Valley, addressing urgent community needs such as emergency assistance, homelessness prevention, disaster relief, counseling, pregnancy care, food programs, and aid for immigrants. Her work on the US-Mexico border, providing a safe haven for migrants, has gained national recognition. In addition to receiving a prestigious award from Catholic Extension in April 2023, Sister Norma was also recognized as one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2020. Pope Francis has personally expressed his support and encouragement for Sister Norma and the volunteers working tirelessly along the border.
